After completing our Atlas mentorship program, students gain the skills needed to take on leadership and collaborative roles in research. Fellows work together on data collection, project design, paper writing, outreach, and community impact, contributing to meaningful socioeconomic studies.
Regional Research Fellows lead research initiatives across an entire county, coordinating multiple high schools to establish a network of Atlas research chapters. They oversee data collection, mentor Chapter Leaders, and collaborate with the Atlas professional research team.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, train, and support school chapter leaders within your region
Coordinate research initiatives and ensure adherence to Atlas standards
Facilitate communication between local chapters and the Atlas research team
Provide guidance on project design, survey implementation, and preliminary data analysis
Participate in regional research planning and strategy under Atlas mentor guidance
Chapter Research Leads establish and manage an Atlas research chapter at their high school. Selection is made by the Regional Research Fellow. Leads foster a collaborative environment where students develop advanced research skills while contributing to socioeconomic studies.

Research Team Members join an established chapter to contribute to research projects while developing skills under the guidance of chapter leaders and professional mentors.

Participate actively in chapter research meetings and projects
Collaborate with peers and mentors to maintain research quality and integrity
Gain hands-on experience that prepares you for independent research opportunities
